Windowsill

AZIZAM,

We had to meet, didn’t we.
Even though the timing was full of misfortune.

It was our open window.

We had to meet, didn’t we.
Even though you were not ready,
and I was not expecting you.

It was our open window.

So we met at the windowsill,
and hung out for awhile.

So we met at the windowsill,
and made memories with what we could.

It was our open window.
But not our time.

We met at the windowsill,
so that we would notice the open door,
when it was ready for us,
to walk through,
together.
